Why American's are FAT!
Posted by JasonMorgan on Tuesday, July 01 @ 22:26:24 CDT (8 reads)
Truth Sayers Institute (TSI)

Here is another essay I wrote for my Creative Thinking & Research class. In it I share my own experiance with gaining wieght when I quite smoking. It was horrific and I was scared to death. I was afraid I was just going to keep getting bigger and bigger.

Luckily I found out what was happening. In the process I found I wasn't alone, and that 66% of my fellow American citizens where going throught the same thing.

Enjoy! I hope you get as much out of it as I have writting it.

Demonization of Black People in Advertising
Posted by JasonMorgan on Tuesday, July 01 @ 22:17:05 CDT (10 reads)
Truth Sayers Institute (TSI)

I'm often amazed at the technology used in this world to persuade one group of people to hate, dislike, and even at times demonize other groups or individuals. The term used for this type of technology is called demonization. I understand that some would disagree and not call this a technology, but I do think it is a technology. It is not something we are born to do. Hating people without direct experiance is man made. Therefor, I call it a technology.

I have written an essay for one of my classes regarding one of the more popular uses of this technology title "Demonization of Black People in Advertizing." This is a very real and present practice. Fundamentally, this is a practice that affects us all.

Ports Collection
Posted by JasonMorgan on Monday, December 10 @ 19:25:29 CST (21 reads)
FreeBSD  Learning and understanding FreeBSD Ports can be somewhat daunting. The amount of information you find on it is large and vast. Here is a compressed and what I hope you find to be useful article on the subject.

Getting the ports collection

If you did not choose to install the ports collection during the FreeBSD installation then you will need to get it through Cvsup.

The ports collection can also be accessed by ftp using
/stand/sysinstall

Once you are in the FreeBSD configuration tool go to Configure and then Packages. Here you will want to choose FTP. Select the packages you wish to install and go to Install at the end and FreeBSD will use the pkg_add tool on each one to quickly add it.

Are You a Slave?
Posted by JasonMorgan on Sunday, August 05 @ 20:25:00 CDT (27 reads)
Truth Sayers Institute (TSI)
ARE YOU A SLAVE?

Think about this question as you read it, it just might shock you to realize, you just might be a slave and not even know it.

Case & Point:
I think we all can agree that our bodies, yes our bodies is our private property. That your body is yours and my body is mine. That no one on the earth has permission to touch it, harm it, still it, or force you or I to do anything we don't choose to do. Correct?, Correct.

Now if our bodies are our private property than anything we do with our body is our private property. Such as labor, if I walk accross the street with lawn mower in tow, and use my body to mow my neighbors lawn in exchange for money than that money is mine, correct? Of course it is. Yet, according to how people in America think or don't think most believe that the money exchange is to be taxed as income.

Think about this carefully, if you do not pay i.e. income tax you go to jail. There is no difference weather you mow your neighbors lawn or work in an office you are exchanging your private propery, your labor for money. When a penelty is put on you for not paying tax on your bodies labor you are a slave. Yes, All American's are slaves.

WHY, HOW, AND WHAT TO DO ABOUT IT!

Humor / Jokes  Just in case you need a laugh: Remember it takes a college degree to fly plane,
but only a high school diploma to fix one. Reassurance for those of us who fly routinely in our jobs:
After every flight, UPS pilots fill out a form, called a "gripe sheet," which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft.
The mechanics correct the problems; document their repairs on the form, and then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight. Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humor.

The common point of confusion for most people regarding listening or viewing videos is often most people think it is all the same. It isn't, There are several different types of audio and video formats. Similar to VHS and DVD. You can't watch a VHS moving in your DVD player, the same is true for audio and video on the web. Using the above example, You can't watch a Windows Media Formated Video(.wmv) (this being a VHS tape), using Quicktime witch is a Apple/Macintosh Viewer, (this being a DVD Player).

The World's Sixteen Crucified Saviors

"The Story of Jesus"

There are as many as 13 stories very similar to the jesus story as far back as 8,000 B.C. Yeap that is correct 8,000 years before Jesus. That is a long time ago. So just to make clear and so that I'm confident you understand, as far back as Eight Thousand Years ago there have been stories told of a "God" that was born of a virgin on our planet earth and that traveled the lands to save humanity, all traveled for one year then they died or they were killed and rose again three days later to go back into the heavens.

Think about this, this story of Jesus has been told 13 times as far back as 8,000 years ago.

Often I will hear "the bible has survived for so long that it must be an act of "God"". All I can say to statements like that is if you are going to use that way of thinking and believing as evidence that "God" is real, then you really do need "God"

              IP Filter Based Firewalls HOWTO

              Brendan Conoboy
            Erik Fichtner

                Wed Dec 11 12:42:58 EST 2002

Abstract: This document is intended to introduce a new
user to the IP Filter firewalling package and, at the
same time, teach the user some basic fundamentals of
     good firewall design.

1. Introduction

IP Filter is a great little firewall package. It does
just about everything other free firewalls (ipfwadm,
ipchains, ipfw) do, but it's also portable and does neat
stuff the others don't. This document is intended to make
some cohesive sense of the sparse documentation presently
available for ipfilter. Futhermore, this document will also
serve as documentation for syntatically compatible packet
filters (notably pf) and, wherever applicable, will point
out any important differences; however this document is
specifically targeted at the rules language and syntax, and
is not intended to be platform specific. Some prior famil-
iarity with packet filtering will be useful, however too
much familiarity may make this document a waste of your
time. For greater understanding of firewalls, the authors
recommend reading Building Internet Firewalls, Chapman &
Zwicky, O'Reilly and Associates; and TCP/IP Illustrated,
Volume 1, Stevens, Addison-Wesley.

This is the Short & Skinny, Long & Short and Quick & Dirty to understanding your Credit/FICO scores.

The Who:
The big three repositories that keep track of your credit ratings are:

  • Experian
  • TransUnion
  • Equifax

Your FICO can range from 200 to 900. According to this model, the higher your score, the less likely you are to default on your loan. FICO is a mathematical model created by the Experian credit bureau as a tool for lenders to use in evaluating the risk associated with lending you money. FICO stands for Fair Isaac Company, the company that created the original scoring model.

What makes up your FICO score?
There are 5 factors that make up your credit score.

Re-Scoring/Recasting:
Every 30-50 days your FICO score is recast by the credit bureau
