I carry a gun so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.

I carry a gun because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

I carry a gun because, when I die and go to heaven, I want to be a cowboy.

I carry a gun because men know how to take care of themselves and the ones they love.

I don't carry a gun because I feel inadequate.
I carry a gun because unarmed and facing three armed thugs, I am inadequate.

I don't carry a gun because I love it.
I carry a gun because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.

Police Protection is an oxymoron. If you've ever called the police to report a "threat" to your safety, the response you will get is, "there is nothing we can do until the threat is actually perpetrated". Free citizens must protect themselves.

Police do not protect you from crime, they are merely a deterrent to criminals (just like your gun is) and they just investigate crimes after they happen and then call someone in to clean up the mess.

*************A LITTLE GUN HISTORY***************

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own Government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent.

Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent.

Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!

In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

 

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!

The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson. With guns, we are 'citizens'. Without them, we are 'subjects'. Whether you personally choose to own and/or carry a firearm or not, those who do, have kept you safer than you can realize. If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns... Please do not surrender your constitutional rights. Given the inch, you will lose the mile. It is a slippery slope that only grows steeper when the populous "allows" this. What will you give up next? Your right to choose your religion?

History is cyclical. This country exists, BECAUSE a government chose to limit the rights of the people in order to CONTROL them and their ability to defend any rights they THOUGHT they had. Once you surrender your RIGHTS to defend yourself, do not be disillusioned when you find yourself in a position to NEED to defend yourself and whatever rights you still have left.

Please do not be fooled. If guns cause crimes, then matches cause arson. It is the act of the individual to decide and determine the actions of inanimate objects. That gun is no more dangerous than that bottle of poison under your sink you use to clear your drains. Handled responsibly, it is beneficial, used incorrectly or recklessly, it can cause harm.

There are sufficient laws in place. I know this is an extreme example, but I pray that you consider this for just one second. If it were mandatory that every high school child in the US was required to study firearms, armed self defense and marksmanship for three years as a required course to graduate. And upon graduation was presented a side arm with a license to carry it every day for life (provided they met certain training and or marksmanship criteria each year to maintain that license). Do you really believe a cowardly teen ager with a gun would charge into ANY convenience store or liquor store and try to rob it, knowing that every person in there is likely armed and as good if not better at using that weapon than they are? Please consider that for just one moment.

During WWII the Japanese decided NOT to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED! If you value your freedom, please spread this anti-gun control message to all of your friends.

The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.

SWITZERLAND ISSUES EVERY HOUSEHOLD A GUN! SWITZERLAND 'S GOVERNMENT TRAINS EVERY ADULT THEY ISSUE A RIFLE... SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!

IT'S A NO BRAINER! DON'T LET OUR GOVERNMENT WASTE MILLIONS OF OUR TAX DOLLARS IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE ALL LAW ABIDING CITIZENS AN EASY TARGET.
